I AM @ YOUTH.SG
'Youth' in the Little Oxford Dictionary mean the state or period of being young. However, the word 'Youth' to me means fun, laughter, stress and friendship.
Being a Youth in SG is not easy. It’s stressful because we need to lift up to the expectations of our parents, friends, siblings, teachers... practically everyone. Not forgetting the study part, O-levels, A-levels and so on. But lucky me! I just finished my O’s last year, and I won’t be doing my A’s because I’ve decided to go by the ‘poly route’.
However, being a Youth is fun. Youth matters! We're fit to play all sorts of games, pushing ourselves to the limits. Lollx! But being a youth means wide range of friends (it’s easier for youths to make friends) which also means open doors to bad influences.
BUT! As long as we know our limits, There’s nothing much to worry about.
I joined ‘I am @ Youth.SG’ because I was tempted by the wonderful prize that was offered! 30GB IPOD! Cool! If I win that, I will never have to worry about deleting songs from my MP3 player ever again! (P.S. That’s why you should vote for me! XD )
What’s life without music anyway? Music plays a great part in my life, though I’m not really musically inclined. It’s my good friend when I’m sitting on the bus or train, keeping me company throughout the whole journey. (I mean.. when I’m travelling by myself)
Let’s not neglect the friendship part too. Many people say that I’m easy going, but I feel otherwise. Maybe it’s because of my character? But I really treasure my friends. They are always there by my side, even when I throw my NASTY temper. They are always there to comfort me too! Although it’s just 3months into 2007, I feel that there’s been a great change in my ‘friendship’ life. My long-time best friend just left for Melbourne a month ago and is going to study there for 5years or so. I’ve just graduated from Xinmin Secondary School and have been torn apart from the CCA-buddies that I’ve bonded with for the last 4years. The Girl’s Brigade RAWKS! Sec4’06 ROCKS!!
